Ugh, sports "journalism" is the laziest shit ever.

The Cubs in the World Series is a great time to recycle those old, dusty, recycled stories about the Red Sox and mail in another piece so they can go back to scamming free food in clubhouses.

As a Sox fan I found it quite the opposite. I saw this this morning on Sports Center and thought, "Ugh, not another kneejerk report on the Cubs and curses." It's cliche now, requires no thought. Black cats, goats, Bartman, blah blah blah. All this does is keep the hand excuse alive in case the Cubs somehow fail. The only question will be what excuse will it be next time.

This is why as a Sox fan I sort of want the Cubs to finally win it. They'll become just another team and we can stop all of this metaphysical, magical mystery tour crap.
