When the Cubs ran out onto the field at the beginning to be greeted by polite applause, as if it were late April, I was stunned, jaw on the floor. WTF? As a Detroit Tigers fan, when the Tigers made the playoffs in 2006, the home games against the A's and Yankees in particular...the atmosphere was CRAZY. And it had only been 22 years for the Tigers. I was quite a bit disappointed in Cubdom at that point.

I agree with you Joe. It was painful to hear the commentators talk about the greater enthusiasm of US cellular's fans compared to wrigley's fans. And I don't buy the anxiousness = quietness argument.

it would also be nice if the execs, business partners and casual fans from the burbs would make some fucking noise during the game. STARTING WITH THE FIRST INNING!!! (I know, it was all your first times at Wrigley...)
