<description>&lt;p&gt;When the Cubs ran out onto the field at the beginning to be greeted by polite applause, as if it were late April, I was stunned, jaw on the floor.  WTF?

As a Detroit Tigers fan, when the Tigers made the playoffs in 2006, the home games against the A&apos;s and Yankees in particular...the atmosphere was CRAZY.  And it had only been 22 years for the Tigers.

I was quite a bit disappointed in Cubdom at that point.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

It was painful to hear the commentators talk about the greater enthusiasm of US cellular&apos;s fans compared to wrigley&apos;s fans.  And I don&apos;t buy the anxiousness = quietness argument.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
