Rachael Yamagata returned home last night to perform two shows to two packed house at Lakeshore Theatre last night. She played a bunch of old faves, some new stuff off her forthcoming disc, and she charmed every soul in the room. She may not have sold a million albums yet (yet), but we already consider her one of Chicago's superstars.

Stroger Makes Hollywood Play

I'm sorry, but you guys really post the worst pictures when it comes to reviews of shows and concerts.
The back of her head? Her foot? Her hair? These are throw-away photos in all honesty.
Where's a photo of the entire stage? Her entire body? The crowd?
For "two shows to two packed house(s)" all you've shown us is an obsession with a zoom lense or an ability to get really really close to the photographed subject.
O.K., I'll bite.
1. I try to post photos that are NOT like every other concert shot around. I try to capture what the show was like, and in this case it was kind of intimate with the focus fully on Yamagata.
2. I don't own a zoom lens.
3. Who the hell cares about what the crowd looked like? Or that her guitarist had a mustache?
4. I can't believe I actually took the time to respond to a curmudgeon, but whatever.
Yay, I like em!
Although that guitarist did have a pretty sweet mustache that was worthy of pictorial documentation.
