F-U-Dome?

2008_10_03_fukudome.jpgElgin High School student Jill Howe, 15, learned this week that not everyone is up to date on the Cubs' roster. Howe was wearing a Fukudome jersey when a school administrator stopped her in the hall. Even after Howe explained who Fukudome was and that it wasn't obscene, dean Susan Matei still ordered Howe to take the jersey off and wear a gym shirt to class. Howe informed her mother of the incident and, after a phone call to the school, the misunderstanding was cleared up. Associate Principal Alan Flota said, "As long as it is a legitimate name, they will be allowed to wear it." Well, that's good. Besides, we find Fukudome's .000 postseason batting average way more offensive than any mispronunciation of his name.
