The Bucktown Towing Fiasco of 2008 Continues...

If you were one of the Bucktown residents whose car was controversially towed Saturday night before a 5K race with allegedly no warning, or if you know someone whose car was towed, take heart because you still have some recourse to challenge the $160 cost of getting your car out of the impound.

1. Request a hearing once you are the auto pound to appeal the tow.

2. Write a letter to:
Bureau of Traffic Services
Attn: Commissioner Michael Picardi and John Rachmaciej
120 N. LaSalle 2nd flr.
Chicago, IL 60607

3. Call John Rachmaciej, Chief Auto Pound Supervisor, at 312-746-6955

The 5K race was not an event sanctioned by Ald. Scott Waguespack nor was approval or involvement from the Alderman's office requested by @properties, who sponsored the 5K.
