I'm not going to tell you HOW to vote, but to everyone taking exception to "stars" telling you to vote I would ask that you notice they don't tell you HOW to vote either. The message is simply: Vote.

Please vote. And if you live in Illinois, please vote for a third party candidate,be it Nader, McKinney, Barr, or any of the others. There should be no doubt that Obama will carry Illinois, which means that you can cast a vote for someone else without worrying that you'll spoil anything. If you care about issues that neither candidate has addressed (because they're on the same page) such as ending corporate welfare, or the war on (some) drugs, abolishing the death penalty, please vote and do it from your heart.

It's not too late to register to vote! I repeat, IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO REGISTER TO VOTE. Assuming you live in Chicago, you can still register at 69 W. Washington until October 21st, and you must cast your ballot at that time. Here's the link: http://www.chicagoelections.com/page.php?id=14 Not that it really matters in Illinois anyway. But at least you can try hard to oust the bad judges -- Portman, Ross, Masterson-Pulia, Barnes, Clay, Hopkins, Burrell and Lewis.

matty, I have always felt the same way about celebs doing any kind of commercial. The ones they do promoting being a mentor really tick me off (they're so condescending). I always wonder if THEY themselves are volunteering as mentors as well, you know? And I thought I was going to feel the same way about this ad, but I actually thought it was pretty good. I thought it was strong, effective...got a good message across without being condescending or pandering. But so far, I have only seen it going around the internet. I haven't seen it on tv.
