Ran both last year and this. The organization this year of aid stations, etc. was MUCH better. That said, they really need to start this race earlier and / or move it later in the month. I will not run this race again - I simply will not waste the time / money to train all summer only to get my but kicked by the weather. Starting at 7 or 7:30 is an easy thing to consider - or the idea of altering the start time 48 hours in advance. The quality of experience for the runner's would be greatly improved. There were a lot of people admitted to hospitals with core body temps over 105. That's a problem - and a tragedy waiting to happen.

That's funny, the tracker system worked perfectly for both guys we were tracking. Weirdness.

It was a bummer, the running tracker system didn't work at all or send me texts. . I was trying to figure out where my friend was running at 13 and 15 miles, and could never find her :(

It wasn't the heat that are keeping people from coming back but the total mismanagement of the event.

I predict it will all but fail completely in teh coming years.

Why have a chicago marathon when there's a new york and la one?
