Morning Box Score
Fire Tie Crew, Clinch Playoff Spot
Brian McBride scored twice, including a late equalizer, leading the Fire to a 2-2 tie with the Columbus Crew on Sunday afternoon at The Camry. The tie also clinches Chicago's spot in the MLS playoffs. McBride started the scoring in the 13th minute with an assist from Justin Mapp. The Crew scored a pair of second-half goals within two minutes to take the lead, but McBride tied the game in the 79th minute to pull the Fire even. Jon Busch had five saves in the game.
Bears Lose Heartbreaker to Falcons
The Chicago Bears took the lead with only 11 seconds left thanks to a nice Kyle Orton pass...and still lost 22-20 thanks to a last-second Jason Elam field goal. Benjy's up later with a full recap.
