Hi guys. Thanks for the comments. Its good to hear back. I wasnt aiming to be negative, but rather to continue to push Chicago towards continuing to think bigger, to try a different route, to take risks. I feel that sometimes we get comfortable and that yields mundane results. There are good things happening here, yes, especially with the independent artists. I believe that we could be a city that better supports local talent though, and I want to keep pushing for that. I think that a Chicago artist should be able to "make it" in Chicago and not have to leave the city to do so. And, no, not as much pompous as confident in my work. No more complaining from me...

Yo a Little pompous? Hello? It's me? I'm standing right here? There are thousands of artists standing right by you sister. And complaining because you're not getting more than what you have gotten? Be happy and don't complain so sis!

The "this city's art scene sucks" thing has got to die, only bitter people say this because if you look around the country and world, Chicago's art scene is something to be proud of. It's not NYC but NO WHERE IS! Those galleries are ok . Fitzpatrick is good for the city, but he's lifting up his crew, not the Chicago scene. I love the independent artists in the city the most, and I've seen art innovation in Chicago. Chek it out yo.

"Not smart enough to have an independent thought of that what has come before them, or that which their peers are already doing. How is it possible that the art world can be so un-innovative?"

wow, bold statements there. You seem to be asking for something specific. What is the Chicago art world lacking?

Not sure that this is a problem of "the gallery racket," though. Don't blame the galleries simply because they're not giving you shows. Surely calling them stupid isn't going to help...
