The body of a boy was found in a vehicle on the West Side this morning. Police are investigating whether or not the body is that of missing 7-year-old Julian King. The body was discovered in the 1300 block of S. Kolin at around 8:00 a.m. Yesterday, actress and Chicago native Jennifer Hudson, whose mother and brother were shot to death on the South Side Friday, offered a $100,000 reward for finding Julian. Police still have suspect William Balfour in custody.
Update - According to WBBM, the body was found inside the white Chevy Suburban that police had tied to the shooting.

You know, I'm fairly passionate in my stance against the death penalty, but it's shit like this that makes me seriously consider making an exception every now and then.
I'm pretty passionate about the justice system myself, but it's something like this that makes me seriously consider making an exception every now and then as well... like tying a cinder block around this guy's leg and dropping him in the lake.
Adding stupid to tragedy. I tuned in to hear the apocalyptic trainwreck that I'm sure the new "mancow" show is going to be on WLS just as this story was breaking. Listening to "The Cow" and his zoo crew talk about their tangential connections to the Hudsons...guh...Famewhoring over a dead child.
You'd be looking at exceptions more than every now and then. You've got guys beating to death months old children. Gangbangers killing kids with bullets intended for other gangbangers. Kids killing other kids. Parents killing kids. Where do you draw the line? Who lives and who dies?

Mancow was on Beyond the Beltway last night.
Someone please explain to me how this guy has a radio show. (does his show just air in Chicago? Or is it syndicated? I had never heard of him til I moved here, so I guess I was kind of surprised to see that he was on Beyond the Beltway).
He said that Rush Limbaugh was going to co-host with him today. Disgusting.
Hmmmm, a multiple murder occurs, and the Lefties find some way to turn this thread into an attack on Mancow.
I don't agree with him all the time, but shows just why Mancow is needed. Cry in your beers as you see his ratings go up.

Mancow brought up Jennifer Hudson's connection to Obama and then lambasted her during this time of tragedy for somehow being a communist/terrorist and a key player in the coming communist New World Order.

I hope Mancow becomes the new voice of the republican resistance. Between him and Palin the whole party could find new life as a sort of political comedy theater.

News outlets are now reporting that neighbors were calling about this vehicle since SATURDAY NIGHT and the cops never arrived until this morning. Apparently Jennifer and family are on their way to the Medical Examiner's office and that a press conference will be held at 4pm. Less reputable sources are saying that the little boy was tortured and shot multiple times in the back of the vehicle.

I agree with Kaonashi that it is a little strange that it took so long for the vehicle to be found.
Did the neighbors really call Saturday night? Are there tapes of those calls? The CPD should respond in some way.
