I agree, Marcus, I'm a bit nostalgic and always vote on election day proper. Besides, when John McCain reveals on November 3rd that Barack Obama is an alien lizard come to steal Earth's natural resources, won't you all feel foolish.

I'm totally with you. i early vote if i have to. otherwise i'm all about election day voting. early voting is like opening your presents a week before Christmas!

Cool. I'm kicking myself for not getting there sooner and can't cut away from work today to be there by 5:00 pm. :( Oh well, there's something to be said for voting on the actual election day.

48th ward was bad. It took me 2 hours. This is mostly due to the laptops (vs. those big signature books) they're using for verification and the mandatory electronic voting, which takes much longer to complete than a paper ballot. I told a couple of friends not to bother today because election day (even with more people) will be faster. I've never waited more than 10 or 15 minutes to vote in Chicago, so I was surprised this a.m. Shoulda voted earlier.

26 Ward Represent! My precint is lucky if we get 100 people! This is why I always vote on election day, just in and out.
