Blago Says He's "Not Interested" in Barack's Senate Spot
Earlier today, we speculated over who would fill President-Elect Obama's now to be vacated U.S. Senate seat. And while we still think Jesse Jackson, Jr. is at the head of that list, Gov. Blagojevich wants to make it clear he's having none of the speculation he would replace Obama himself. Instead, Blago announced today at a news conference the creation of a team aimed to vet potential replacements. "The process begins today. The thinking begins today. The search begins today," said the embattled Governor. Overall, Blago seemed subdued, but maybe he's just smarting from being excluded from Obamapalooza last night.
