Trader Vic's Almost Here ...

2008_11_12tradervics The website for the new Chicago Trader Vic's at 1030 N. State is live. And while there's not much on it yet, you can sign up for their newsletter and also peruse the cocktail menu. Well, perhaps you should limit your perusal unless you have a drool cup handy. Because just reading names like Menehune Juice, Doctor Funk Son and Hot Rum Cow has already kicked our salivary glands into action.

There will be a new drink on offer just for our location, Don the Trader. The cocktail "resembles the soul and history of our city" and includes over proof rum, pineapple, lemon, grenadine, and orange curacao. Man oh man. As far as we know the new digs will open by month's end, and to honor the occasion we're planning a special post with a fancy slideshow. Keep your eyes peeled and in the meantime, hang loose howies.

I've only been to the Trader Vic's in Scottsdale, but I am so looking forward to the new location opening! I have already declared it to be the location for my 35th birthday in February. This is very exciting.

And yes, I should get out more.

I saw a werewolf drinking a Pina Colada at Trader Vic's, his hair was perfect. Yip!

What's 1030 N. State? Is that the old Grotto space?

Spook ah lurking and I bet he aint the only shark circling waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike!
