Monday Afternoon Diversion: Worst Holiday Special Ever
Today is the 30th anniversary of the original (and only) airing of the atrocity that is the Star Wars Holiday Special. How bad was it? It made the prequel trilogy look like a masterpiece by comparison. Filmed and aired between the original Star Wars (A New Hope) movie and The Empire Strikes Back, the special features Chewbacca's kid, Bea Arthur, Carrie Fisher singing, and a weird anime short that features the debut of Boba Fett.
