While I feel sorry for them, agreed, how can you allow someone to sneak out? Going against what is allowed is the whole concept of "sneaking". What were they supposed to do, post guards at every door? Then the complaint would be "They're treating us like prisoners, it's not right." Besides who old were these guys?

And finally, I find great irony in that they were sneaking around and getting into trouble at a "leadership camp". But that being said, I feel sorry for their families and them as well.

This is a tragedy and a shame; they really seem like they were nice kids that made some really bad decisions. I can think of a lot of stupid things I did as a teen. Thankfully, none of them cost me my life.

I think it's interesting when 15-18 year olds commit crimes or whatever they're teens but when bad things happen to them, they're "boys."

It's a tragedy but I doesn't sound like anyone 'allowed' them to sneak out.
