Huet certainly hasn't looked as good as Khabibulin this year, however, he has been steadily improving. I have to say that I think we were lucky to get all the points last night. After a strong first period, we just couldn't keep up steady pressure in the second and third. Some of that was certainly due to keeping Kane and Sharp out of the rotation in the second period.

Yep, it was Huet in goal that night. Somewhere over 50 shots, and I think around 48 saves, which is just insane. One of the better games Huet has had this year.

Ah! you're right! Fixed. That was the game where Columbus had some incredible number of shots, like 50 or so? I remember that one now. I think it was Huet in goal and he had 46 or 47 saves?

It's actually the second shoot-out win of the year for the Hawks. I'm sure it seems like they haven't won a shoot-out yet, but they beat Columbus in a shoot-out on Nov. 1. It's ok though, the AP article got it wrong too.
