Remember how Paris Hilton was obstinately cast in that movie musical Repo! The Genetic Opera? If you have any interest in seeing it now's your chance, since Music Box is screening the poorly-reviewed film twice this weekend. Tickets have been predicted to sell out, so make your reservations ahead of time.
Music Box, 3733 N Southport, November 28 and November 29 at midnight, $10, available for advance purchase online or at the theater box office.

Jewish Book Month – celebrated during the month proceeding Hanukkah – began this year on November 22nd. The month long event is meant to promote Jewish literary culture, and the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies is hosting a Jewish Book Month series of lectures, book clubs, special author appearances, and other related events. A full listing of events is online, but you can also celebrate Jewish Book Month by visiting the center’s bookstore or public library.

ABC will be airing A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Tuesday and Thursday evening. A bonus segment; This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers, will follow the half hour cartoon classic, which you can catch on youtube, if you miss it on T.V.

Really? Predicted to sell out? Why? I'm all for hissing and guffawing at a bad movie, but I can wait. Bomb always seem to get "better" with age, anyway.
