How embarrassing. No wonder the rest of the world tends to think of Americans as self-absorbed morons.

Sweet Muppety Odin, that would be why my only cable news input is Rachel Maddow clips and the occasional Keith Ohberman meltdown.

Even better was an anchor later who talked about the story and then transitioned by going, "And now from India on to Black Friday. Will it be a tsunami or a trickle?" Kinda poor word choice dude....

So the interview with this woman on CNN this morning led to a nice little exchange from one of the anchors. Near the end of the interview the phone quality degraded and eventually the connection dropped. The male anchor wished the woman well, then the female anchor had this to say:

"It's always interesting to me when cellphone service goes out in India because it's not dependable...when that...Mumbai...is where we call when we have problems with our computer. I mean Dell has offices there. I just find that ironic."

Nice one lady. Very classy. Throw out a stereotypical insult that is not only completely unrelated but inaccurate as well (Dell call centers are in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mohali).
