- With a new book on her out, the Sun Times explores Michelle Obama's college years, including her complete thesis. Not one to be left out, the Trib tracks Michelle's roots to plantation slaves in South Carolina.
- A small rubbish fire on Red Line tracks just north of the Jackson stop prompted a five ambulance response, but the small fire was immediately contained and no one was injured.
- A Michigan Ave. Bank of America was robbed this morning, giving rise to what we guess will be called "The Mag Mile Bandit."
- The Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune copy off each other's homework.
- Vanity Fair talks to writer/comedienne/actress extraordinaire (and Second City alum) Tina Fey. We heart her.

Stroger Makes Hollywood Play

If the "U" had a sitcom featuring Abominable Snowmen I would totally watch it.
Simple humor like that brightens anyone's day. There used to be a statue, or a plastic lifesized figure attached to the wall (whatever you want to call it) of Ronald McDonald at a McDonald's by my house with a hand that gestured a wave to the consumer. Someone kept putting a cigarette between the fingers. I remember laughing at that as young as 5.
Yeah, yeah...that's what you said about cavemen, too. And we know how well that worked out.
Hey, I thought "Cavemen" was actually pretty funny. And i not just saying that because I am an Anthropologist.
It's like the billboard in the movie "Jaws", that some punk kid painted and had the woman on it yelling 'Help! Shark!" with big cartoon eyes. If that had been a real situation and I was there, I would have been laughing at the billboard while people were being eaten alive.
