Cop, Suspect Shot in Logan Square Incident

A Chicago Police officer was shot in the shoulder after chasing two suspects and one of the suspects was also hit in return fire. The incident happened around 10 p.m. last night in Logan Square near the corner of Belden and Kedzie and the officer was recently reported in stable condition at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center while the suspect was eventually caught near West Fullerton and North Sawyer and was taken to an unnamed local hospital for treatment. A weapon was recovered near the scene and authorities say an investigation is ongoing.
