White House Holiday Card's Chicago Connection

This year's holiday card from the White House will feature artwork by Chicago's American Academy of Art graduate T. Allen Lawson. The painting, View from the Truman Balcony, was selected by First Lady Laura Bush and the original will now hang in the Smithsonian. [artwork via]

Good thing they got someone else to take care of the holiday card, since the White House messed up the Hanukkah greetings by putting a Christmas tree on it.
