It had actually been playing late on the weekends at Navy Pier for a while, a month or two at least, but that stopped about two weeks ago. I guess they just missed the "push".

I saw it twice in IMAX and didn't feel dizzy either time. And I had trouble with Blair Witch. I totally recommend it. I vote for the third film in Omnimax.

Dark Knight in IMAX melted my face! As sfrazer mentioned some of the scenes are in full IMAX resolution not the standard upscaled treatment most Hollywood on IMAX films are. Just wondering, where did they film it? Whatever city it was looks awesome, way better than NYC or LA!

I saw this on opening night at Navy Pier, it was a great experience. The best part is that several of the scenes were shot with IMAX film on IMAX cameras. You'll notice those shots at the IMAX theater when it goes from letter-boxed to full frame. I believe the opening scenes are full frame. Seeing an aerial shot of Navy Pier while sitting in a theater on Navy Pier is kind of cool, too. Lastly, if you can get 19 of your closest friends to agree on a showing, I'd recommend getting a group buy on the tickets. They are on sale well before the dates hit the general public website, and since seating is reserved, you can get _great_ seats this way. Also, the tickets are about $3 cheaper each.

i saw it both in a reg theater and on imax.. imax was better.. AND i didn't feel sick at all. go see!

You know, I tend to have problems with those rides where they show a film in front of you and then move the floor thing to match it. Drives me nuts and makes me all oogly. I'm willing to take the chance on massive projectile vomit on this one to see it in IMAX.

@Tankboy: It's a trip, but if you are the slightest big motion sick I'd advise caution and dramamine. The scene with the "(S)laughter" truck and batmobile did me in.
