- After serving two years of a life sentence and then winning his release after being acquitted at a new trial, Michael Glasper, 39, of Riverdale is suing the Chicago Police Department claiming they framed him for robbery.
- An early morning carbon monoxide leak in an Albany Park building sent seven people - five adults and two children - to the hospital. Five others also sustained some level of poisoning but refused treatment.
- The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago has settled with the family of a boy who was sexually abused by former priest Daniel McCormack to the tune of $1.2 million. The Archdiocese had previously paid $2.5 million to the family for abuse of another child.
