America's Most Wanted Fugitive Captured in Rogers Park

Sarah Jo Pender, a woman featured on last night’s “America’s Most Wanted,” is now in the custody of Chicago Police after they received an anonymous tip.

Tactical officers responded to a call of “person wanted” and she was arrested without incident.

Pender and an accomplice were convicted and sentenced in 2002 for the murders of their roommates in Indiana, the release said.

While in the Rockville Correctional Facility, Pender allegedly planned and executed her escape by establishing a relationship with a prison guard and another inmate, the release said. [S-T]
