It's Really Cold

Holy Hoth, it's cold. As of 10:51 a.m., Midway was reporting a temperature of -4 (Fahrenheit, yo!) with a wind chill of -31, thus the need for a Wind Chill Warning until 4.p.m. These gusty winds and subzero air temps will keep wind chills between -20 and -40 most of the day. We're under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 p.m. for blowing snow. A Wind Chill Advisory takes us into tonight and tomorrow morning with not much improvement in either temps or wind chills. In spite of the sun, it's a good Sunday to stay inside and wrap presents but if you absolutely have to leave the house, bundle up big time.

The city would be filthy rich if they could outsource or privatize the cold.

I was just outside, with bigass winter jacket, hoods, and gloves, but regrettably without facial wraps...and I could barely make it 3 blocks without having to duck inside a store to warm.

This wind is vicious.
