i don't remember the exact context of it all, but my friend, jeff, and i still quote crow when you get something that really sucks but you aren't supposed to be shitty about it and just have to be polite ... "thanks for the pants." i think it's from a christmas special when tom servo gets some great remote controlled race car or something and crow just gets ... a pair of khaki pants. he says all dejectedly: "thanks for the pants." it's a keeper line.

The Cinematic Titanic version of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is available for sale at their website, and features entirely different jokes from the MST3k version. That's a pretty bad movie if you can generate two completely different sets of funny from that same source.
