Another fantastic skyline shot from rjseg1
- It's not just the airports that are experiencing delays; there's been some trouble for Amtrak trains, including one from Union Station to Portland, Oregon and Seattle that was stuck for almost 24 hours. Safe travels to everyone.
- So, what is it like being the brother of Gov. Blagojevich?
- Interesting yet unsurprising excerpts from an interview with state Attorney General Lisa Madigan.
- A man was ejected from his car after a crash on the Dan Ryan, falling 40 feet and surviving. In one of the biggest understatements we've heard in a long time, a doctor called the man "very lucky." Talk about a Christmas miracle.
- There's a pinball tournament happening in Schaumburg. No reports yet of total domination by a deaf, dumb, and blind boy.
- Fall Out Boy made both Tankboy's and Lizz's Best Of Local Bands 2008 lists (I dig it, too). But never fear, Pete Wentz is here to ruin all the fun.
Happy Holidays, Everyone!

I think the man fell 40 feet, but was catapulted 100+ feet. I don't think any human can survive a 100 foot drop. But either way this guy was LUCKY.

I think I'm as confused at the media outlets are - it even says 100 feet in that link. Ugh. i've read both 40 and 100 feet, but I think you're probably right.
It says he sailed 100 feet, and landed 40 feet below. The 100 feet is the distance traveled horizontally, the 40 feet is the distance he fell vertically. At least thats how I read it.
from the Dan Ryan to the UP CANAL rail yard is a good 40+ feet. There is one spot that is 100 feet, though! Think about that turn on the bridge where you are even with the 10th floor of the Chinatown apartment building.
40 or 100, that had to hurt like hell.
Come on guys, fuckin Fall Out Boy?
