No, I wasn't able to catch it. I have to say that after my lukewarm reactions to "Millions" and "Sunshine" I'm a bit wary, but I'll get around to seeing it anyway.

I agree bunny. Away From Her really piqued my interest for what Sarah Polley will do next, but I was really bugged by the whole "30 day seperation" thing. It seemed like such a gimmicky plot point - are there actual places who do such a thing? Hunger and Wendy and Lucy were tremendous. However, I think David Gordon Green ruined a very funny script in Pineapple Express. Well-written, but tonally it was all over the place and just ended up as a mess for me.

Thanks for mentioning The Savages in your summary of Away From Her. I have to say that Away From Her really left me cold, while I felt The Savages did a much better job of capturing what it is like dealing with a family member with dementia. I've seen explanations that Away From Her was not attempting to document the disease, rather the relationship, but it still didn't really work for me. I guess I couldn't focus on that aspect of the film due to the flaws in its handling of Alzheimer's.
