All I can say is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

With a resume like that, how can the Bears not take on the guy? Yeah, Detroit sucked for a lot of reasons, but defense was one of the big ones. I wouldn't be looking for any Bears playoff games for a while if this is their strategy to improve.

Agreed that good coordinators don't necessarily make good head coaches. And I blame the Lions' problems on Matt Millen more than Marinelli or any of the other coaches employed under his tenure.

I'd bet the Bears are going to hire him. I'm not that concerned that the Lions went winless under Marinelli's tenure as head coach, because sometimes good offensive/defensive coordinators don't necessarily make the best head coaches. Further, the Lions' season was a train wreck for many, many reasons.

Apparently, when the Bears are in the playoffs, it's hard on realtors because the wives cannot get the husbands to leave their tv's on weekends to go look at houses.

And since I am going to be putting my house back on the market in a couple of weeks, I'm glad that the Bears did not make the playoffs. Thanks, Lovie!!

With all this hiring of barely-qualified friends and hangers-on, Lovie Smith is quickly proving himself the Todd Stroger of the NFL.
