so is he saying that his perceived ends justify the means that he took to 'accomplish' them?

Watching this...he's just...wow.

Does he honestly believe that people listen to him when he trots out the ol' "fighting special interests and looking out for the little guy" rhetoric.

I've run out of things to say. He's absolutely delusional...

wow. just plain delusional. there are no words.

Did anyone else see the footage of the Roddler out jogging while he was being impeached?

That's a man who has clearly lost his mind.

Yes, I saw that today. He was making great leaps and strides as if to show off
his manly prowess and his devil may care attitude.

It made me laugh. Nobody can know what is going on in another person's head, but I'm telling you...this guy is a down to the letter narcissist and he truly believes that
he is right in every way.

I can't wait to see how this all plays out, but more than that I just want it to be over.
We need the space for the next Illinois political scandal.

I'll play Carnac.

I think they're going after Daley.

And I think Obama will help them do it.

I've been hoping that they were using Blago to go after Daley ever since the early morning arrest. Blago's antics are pale in comparison to what Daley's gotten away with over the years.

Wow, I hadn't seen the footage. So, he just runs back and forth in front of his house? Then checks his lap time? I don't get it.

He is really odd, this man.

See, he can afford a treadmill, or a gym membership or even go run at a private outdoor track. But he chooses to do laps AROUND THE PRESS CORP as he is BEING IMPEACHED.

Sanity and this man are not friends.

that videos got me dying over here...

Daley is just wishful thinking on your parts. Blagojevich had to turn all-out, fly-over-cuckoo-nests nuts for several years, then top it off with actually trying to sell a senate seat when he knew somebody had to be taping him before anyone would do anything, and it STILL took a month for the legislature to act. Daley's nowhere near as nuts or blatant as Blagojevich. Somebody might want to touch him, but nobody ever will.

What's he saying to the press as he runs? I can't get my computer loud enough to hear it.

Also weird/crazy... he doesn't have his ears or hands covered, so clearly he's not planning anything longer than a few minutes of running, seeing as it's pretty dang cold.

He's saying stuff like "I'll talk to you at 2:00"

I am speechless. Does he really think that going on the offensive and engaging in some glorified whining about the Illinois house is going to do anything for him? Seems like the old bait and switch - forget my corruption, how about the Illinois House not handling my heath care proposals, eh? I would love to have been in the meeting where he and his staff decided what they would say. "Throw in some Sunday School golden rule BS. That'll hold 'em."
He is an embarassment to goverment and the state of Illinois and the sooner he is gone, the better.

i couldn't even watch the entire clip from the press conference because i could feel my blood pressure rising & i didn't feel like allowing him to do that to me. i detest his being... he is an abomination. not enough vile words in the dictionary to decribe him...

He's listing off his list of accomplishments as if that absolves him of his criminal activities.

"Look at me, see what a victim I am!"

Pathetic.

He sure uses "push and prod" a lot. I can't wait until he gets put in jail and hopefully gets "pushed and prodded" a lot.

His cockiness and arrogance turn me on.

He wanted to lower real estate taxes!

Bullshit!

He was against the tax swap with the income tax going up & the real estate tax go down & would no longer fund the schools.

He stopped it, with major assistance from Emil Jones.

How is it amazing when you realize that Illinois and Chicago accepts corruption, nepotism in politics as normal? How is it possible that Chicago does not limit the number of terms that a mayor stay in the office?
How is is possible that last two governors of Illinois are so corrupt?
This has been going on in this state for years, it's a public knowledge, democrat or republican Illinois political machine takes advantage of the constituence that is so scared, inapt and complacent that it will swallow whatever administrations shove down their throats. Did I hear any complains about the highest sales tex in the nation? How about raising real estate property taxes in the same time real estate values took a deep dive? What has to happen in Illinois and Chicago to change the status quo? Importing a DA from Brooklyn resulted in federal prosecution of many political figures, maybe it is time for out of state governor or mayor. Bloomberg in New York is from Boston and one thing you have to give him he is a great organizer...
