Thanks for the reminder, I had wanted to pick up Al Gore tickets ... Saw Maher in NYC for previews of his one man Broadway show and he was quite good. The Coulter/Maher exchange would be entertaining, to say the least.

That's so true...after seeing her with Buchanan, I almost started liking the guy! She's great with him. I loved how she called him on his boner for Sarah Palin.

I meant to say "I *heart* Tomboy lesbians", but yeah, she's adorable. An Ira Glass/Rachel Maddow threesome would be like making love to a set of gendered mirrors. She's a tad snarky, but god, I'll take exasperrated snark over the total madness that seems to reign on most "news" shows. This is a woman who had rational, civil discourse with Pat Buchanan. I think you get a sainthood for that.

Yeah, i get that "snarky" sensation. It seems to me that most of her post-news clip observations amount to "Seriously? Are you kidding me?"... and that's it. It's sort of like the Daily Show without the cutting insight and ability to pummel home the absurdity of the whole thing. It's like she has the ammo but just lobs back a water balloon. But I do like her eyeglasses (the ones she wore on the Daily Show). And yes, albany, I *heart* lesbians too. But not the Stuff-FHM-Playboy type of lesbian. Don't ask me why...

I'm a big fan of Rachel Maddow. My only beef with her show is that it's just a little too snarky. I wish she'd get meaner and lay off the snark. I'm sick and tired of snark.

I would only go if I won those tickets. I would never pay a dime of my own money to see this. But I really do kinda like Maher. I wish Coulter wouldn't be sharing the stage and I do have this paranoid suspicion that they might be like a couple of lawyers on opposing sides yukking it up backstage like old pals, getting their stage faces on, not giving a shit about the fairness of the trial, just who wins the biggest piece of pie.

Have you seen Rachel Maddow? She was on the Daily show and, besides being erudite and charming, she confessed to not having cable, or a television. Which, she assessed, was why her show doesn't feel like most of the insta-pundit types. I've seen clips of her show (I don't have a tv or cable either) and she's considered, funny and smart. Being outside the screaming echo-chamber where someone like Ann Coulter is given a platform gives her a, sadly, unique perspective. And I *tomboy* lesbians. Yes we can ... Oh, it is to laugh!
