If I thought there was even the slightest chance he might actually see them, I would send Durbin my old flip flops. What is whit this guy lately? First he wants to let Ryan out of jail because his wife is sick and misses him. No he goes back and forth like a damn ping pong ball on this Burris thing. No way is that guy ever getting my vote again and I will actively help a worthy challenger, and that would even include Ray Wardingly at this point. I wonder how the junior senator will be treated if and when he gets in. Will he be shunned? Will he be assigned to any committees? Or end up holding towels in the senate restroom?

I'm glad that since Bobby Rush and others made this all about race, no one is willing to say that they promised to say about any appointee from Blago - namely, "Fuck this fucking fuck." I, for one, am still willing to say it. Burris sold his soul in order to have one more thing to etch on that damn sarcophagus, all while acting aloof and shocked that people would think anything is amiss. All these politicians - save Jesse and Pat Quinn - are acting so spineless it makes me want to throw up into a box fan. Gotta hand it to Blagojevich, though - the man knew exactly how to throw one last wrench into the gears.
