<description>&lt;p&gt;The original is solid design-wise, partially for the reasons you listed as possible detriments.  And partially due to the artist&apos;s treatment of his subject. If you need further proof of its strength, just look at my own attempt above and how poorly it translates in comparison!

The design always seemed to be a combination of something from the early 20th-century Socialist Realist tradition, with a bit of rip-off from those iPod ads featuring faceless people dancing or kicking or doing karate chops. Iconic? Sure. Original or exciting? I don&apos;t see how. &lt;/p&gt;</description>
