There comes a time when kicking some one stops being fun. Its like when you tease your sibling--its more fun when they react, but even that gets old after a while. I'm not saying I feel sorry for him, just pathetic. (can you feel pathetic for someone?) I honestly just want him to go away at this point.

I don't think anyone other than Blago is telling Blago what to do. He's shown time and time again that he pretty much loves the sound of his own voice and thinks "Blago Knows Best". The plan to give free bus rides to seniors was his own deal and no one elses. The whole cheap Canadian drug plan? him alone. This stupid media blitz is his idea alone I suspect, for whatever warped reasons he may have.

Someone is in Blago's ear telling him that this is a sound plan and that someone must be profiting from this man's implostion. I think it's going to be very interesting, when the book finally gets written on this, to see just who was getting up on Blago going down.

This television saga is why lawyers tell people not to talk to the media, as Blagojevich has made it very difficult to mount a criminal defense based on how he's talked about the tapes. It comes down to the profanity, which he has essentially acknowledged and apologized for. His problem is that by acknowledging that part of the tapes, he's pretty much acknowledged that the tapes are real and eliminated any shot a defense lawyer would have of claiming otherwise. Has Ed Jensen not already quit, I suspect his head would have exploded yesterday.

So when he keeps saying "When the public finally hears the truth"... "when the truth comes out"... "when i finally get to tell my side of the story"..... exactly when is that going to be? Is someone keeping him from telling his story? He's been on 50 bazillion TV shows in two days and has had ample time to "tell his side of the story". He could go to his impeachment hearing and "tell his side of the story". This teasing little dance of him is now officially old. Even the public got tired of that 40s and 50s coy stripper routine and wanted the whole shebang. Even if I had one iota, sliver, molecule, speck of sympathy for him, it has been completely eradicated by this dog-and-pony show.

I think it's rather offensive to the entire state the way he's saying his profanity laced claims to hold the key to the senate appointment are "taken out of context," and that he "wouldn't have talked that way if he'd known he was being taped [in the sanctity of his own home]." I don't think he could possibly make himself look more delusional than to sit there on each of those shows saying that "with the inclusion of the other tapes, in context" those tirades will somehow make sense. What other tapes are we missing? Are we missing tapes where he was roll-playing with the recipient about how nasty he could be? Were they just goofing? I'll admit though, it was a pleasure to see him chuckle when the interviewer read the profane comments." I just want this man to go away, off our televisions. You know that embarrassed feeling you get for other people? I need to escape that feeling. BTW - Conan is doing a great impression of Blago Hair.

Sorry for him? See, that's my worry, I know you've got a smart head on your shoulder's Marcus, but too many people don't. They're seeing this, hearing his wheedling bullshit and somewhere, someone, a member of some potential jury pool, is hearing this and thinking "Aw, that poor man, he didn't get a fair shake." And all these media outlets are just turning cameras on the freak. Christ, I gotta go watch "Network" again.
