Illinois State Senator Larry Bomke (R-Springfield) really wants to see Bill Ayers fired from his job as a professor at UIC. Bomke has introduced a proposal that says anyone who has committed an act of violence against the governments of the United States or Illinois cannot work at a public university.

A few weeks ago he proposed a similar bill to ban "admitted terrorists" from teaching at Illinois colleges because he was outraged that Illinois taxpayers pay Bill Ayers' salary.

"If we had a known pedophile, an admitted pedophile who had not been convicted, but an admitted pedophile, any school would be outraged to have that individual teaching kindergarten," Bomke said last month. "So why would we want an admitted terrorist, an unrepentant terrorist, teaching kids at a university?"

Ayers' wife Bernardine Dohrn said Bomke's proposal is "obviously, patently insane."
