A prank is when we let loose a cow on the quad. A crime is when my cow is stolen then put down by animal control because it was wandering around in a populated area.

A prank is when we assemble a car in the union in a room with small doors. A crime is when we have to pay to have mechanics come out to disassemble a car found in the student union. A prank is when we catch people assembling a car in the union, wait for them to finish, then agree not to call the cops if they have the whole thing cleaned up and the floors scrubbed by 8am.

I agree. Moving a sculpture around campus may not be a crime, but you certainly get into trouble by the judicial affairs of the school. If you get caught of course.

what's your point, sharon? i don't think that tim is implying we add dining and dashing to the list of things he should get dinged for in a criminal trial. rather, i think the idea that running out on a check is merely a 'prank' is what he's taking issue with here. it's not a prank, it's stealing. sometimes, directly from the server, if they have to pay for it from their tips.

good pranks? actual pranks? i like some of the ones on you tube where they post-it note someone's whole office or packing peanut it or something like that. something that is a total prank to the person, but also sort of on the people playing it, since it takes them a shit ton of time to pull off. nothing that's permanent or harmful or violent or mean.

Yes, Tim. I'm sure the statute of limitations hasn't run out on this. We should certainly prosecute him for this heinous crime. Great post, champ. Keep up the solid work.
