In case you were following it, our sister (mother?) site Gothamist has been exploring the controversy over yesterday's editorial cartoon by the NY Post's Sean Delonas which many have claimed is racist and makes allusions to shooting the President. It's not the first time Delonas has gotten himself in hot water, either.

And if you look at this guy's body of "work" you can see that his intentions are clear.
Not only is it unfunny, it pokes fun at a horrifying story - I hadn't heard this thing about the chimp mauling that poor woman in Connecticut before now - if she survives, she'll be blind and disfigured for life.
Does this guy get some kind of bonus points for making fun of a sickening tragedy AND making threatening racist jokes about the President, all in one cartoon? I guess he's efficient, at least.
