Missing Teen Home Safe

A missing Highland Park teen is home safe after she went missing Friday evening while running. 17-year-old Caroline Stitcher returned home, and was transported to Highland Park Hospital for a checkup shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday night.

She has not been interviewed by police yet, and it’s still unknown where she went. She was last seen Friday afternoon running along behind Deerfield High School. The report of her disappearance sparked a search that involved nearly 2,000 volunteers on Saturday. A Facebook page, “Help Find Caroline Stitcher” had 3,000 members on Friday night.

Upon report of her return to home, Township High School District 113 Superintendent George Fornero sent an alert to parents informing them she was home and safe, and had no further information. [Trib]
