In 1974, The Meters were the band at my high school prom. We didn't have a gym (there were only 400 of us in the whole school), so we had it at a city public gymnasium, all 94 of us and our dates. Growing up in New Orleans was excellent.

Ah.. I will now go home and play a song by the meters and a song by local H. Local H puts on a good show. No cover band could do the meters justice.
