Chicagoist Tournament Challenge

By Benjy Lipsman in Miscellaneous on Mar 11, 2009 7:00PM

2009_03_ncaa_bball.jpgCollege basketball's conference tournaments are in full swing this week, meaning that March Madness is soon upon us! The official brackets for this year's NCAA Tournament will be released Sunday evening, after the last conference champs are determined.

We'll all then spend most of Monday and Tuesday reading up on the 65 teams and filling out dozens brackets until one feels just right -- the perfect mix of first round upsets, a Cinderella team in the Elite Eight and Final Four match-ups we've waited all season to see. Of course, it'll look perfect on paper only until the games begin.

Think you've got what it takes to pick the best bracket? Join our Chicagoist Tournament Challenge and prove your superior knowledge (or luck) by competing against other Chicagoist readers and Chicagoist staff in our annual contest.

To participate, go to ESPN's Tournament Challenge and either register or sign-in. Create an entry and then search for the Chicagoist Group.

Last year, l.meuller's el #1 entry beat out 90 participants to take home the Chicagoist Tournament Challenge prize. There once again will be some sort of awesome prize awarded to the Chicagoist reader with the top score, so please limit yourself to one entry. We'll announce the winner on the site the day after the championship game.
