Sox Switch Kosher Dogs

2009_03_vienna_beef.jpg Second base, center field and the hot corner aren't the only vacancies the White Sox are looking to fill. Sara Lee's announcement last year they were getting out of the kosher hot dog game by cutting its Best Kosher line left a void at hot dog stands inside a Sox Park.

That hole has now been filled by Vienna Beef. Their all-beef, ¼ pound kosher dog, made using the same recipe as regular Vienna Beef franks, will be on sale this season. The price is unknown yet, but given that both the Sox and Cubs have frozen concession prices, don't look for a kosher Vienna Beef to bankrupt you. [Sun-Times]

Did Vienna go & have a section of its plant made kosher?
Or are they just rebranding another company's dog?

30+ years ago, when Vienna was still operating out of a bunch of storefronts at Halsted & O'Brien, Vienna made Wilno Kosher right next door in a different store.
When they moved to Damen Ave., they sold Wilno to guess who?
Yep, Best Kosher!

Are these kosher dogs? Or simply all-beef dogs?
