This happpened on midnights, where the Illinois Minuteman are on patrol 24/7. We as taxpayers deserve more because for the millions of dollars a year we pay to protect and patrol our highways for just this reason. Someone should be accountable. I believe the people that took charge of the high-paying policital positions within the Dept of Transportation should be responsible. The Department doesen't care because of the incompitence of the leadership who were put into these posisions because of clout, and not by any credible credentials. There are so many problems within the Dept and this is only one. So sad that since the Gov has been impeached,the rest of his henchmen and connected cronies are still able to steal their paychecks and have no accountability for their actions. How about people get concerned that this was able to take place on one of the most travelled expressways (all day - every day) and no law enforecment officer, city, count, state, IDOT, saw anthing?

i think it is brilliant. as we can already see, tagging of any kind really gets people upset, so to write "oops" is a slap in everyone's face. i think people need to relax and enjoy life, if anything the person who tagged this gave you people something to talk about.

I think a good punishment for anyone caught tagging would be to have a goofy mustache, eyebrows, beard, etc. sharpied onto their face. Or use their faces for advertising or PSA phrases. Get creative on their vandalizing asses.

Back in high school, kids used to use rocks or flint to carve their names into the windows on the buses. Then there was a the short fad of using the HELLO MY NAME IS stickers. You're right. Getting rid of those will only lead to another device.

You can just as easily get spray paint mailed to your residence via the internet. The ban wont stop graffiti. kids will be kids. If it isnt spraypaint, its roller paint, or drippy markers. Vandals will always find something to mark on your property with.

I believe it was too. However you can buy it in Norridge, Skokie, Niles, etc. And it isn't back-breaking. Sure they may require an ID to prove you are 18, but there are enough 18 year old taggers out there as well.

If only the City of Chicago had banned the sale of spray paint then this would have never happened. Thank goodness the street signs aren't made out of glass; the bill would have been 10 times higher.

This graffiti was there Sunday at 2:00 PM, so it wasn't done last night. When the Sun Times article says, "yesterday" they probably mean over night between Saturday and Sunday.

I know you could probably say this about most graffiti, but really, what was the f*cking point of this? Is there now an "Oops" gang controlling that segment of I-290?
