The show last night was very good, but it's hard for me to envision them ever matching that oh-so-brief Pitchfork set. When you put someone through an emotional wringer--anticipation building during the long weekend--the moment finally comes--then finding out they're cancelled--trying to console one's self with Spoon (didn't work)--then hearing the sweet sounds of magic starting on the other end of the park--skipping across the field at a full gallop--then diving into the throbbing mass of joy for those precious few songs. I don't think they'll be able to match the emotional impact of that night again.

But I keep coming back...just in case.

cut copy were INCREDIBLE, as always. though the crowd was pretty lame compared to the shows at abbey pub, pitchfork, and the metro. "autobahn music box" was definitely the highlight of the night for me, my goodness. the end of "lights & music" was pretty cool too, oh yesss.

matt & kim were hard to watch. i can appreciate that they're so happy-go-lucky and excited, but it got old really fast. and i don't like being called out and forced to participate.

That video was great and reminds me why I'm glad I went to high school in the 90s. Our pants had plenty of room. That's where we kept all of our teen angst.

"super sunny" doesn't even do its justice, those kids are just as happy as one can be.

cut copy was awesome, i could use a little more stage presence from them, but when "lights and music" came on i thought i was in a 1983 LA rave minus the ectasy and glow-sticks.
