Do This: Get Juiced with Dan Aykroyd

2009_03_aykroyd_wine.JPG Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd is pulling a Coppola and entering the wine business.

According to his website, he was introduced to the pleasures of the grape by none other than Steve Cropper, the legendary rhythm guitarist and co-founder of Booker T. and the MG's. Traveling the globe he's chosen some of his favorites to import and sell under his own label, and he's also highlighting a selection of wines from Sonoma.

This Saturday afternoon from 1:00 - 3:00 he'll be at the South Loop Binny's to launch the Sonoma Series. Buy a bottle and he'll autograph it for you. Admission is free.

Incidentally, we were curious whether House of Blues would be offering Dan's wines, but we haven't heard back from them yet. We'll keep you updated.

Who cares about his wines, I'm still waiting for an explanation on this:

You can get an explanation on this when he is over at MANOR, for a cocktail reception from 10-11 on Friday. Never been to Manor, and haven't heard great things. The below is copied from one of the several email lists I am on.
