I LOVE that she's mixing textures. Good eye, Max.

I also am fine with tights as pants.

"I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to Spook here!"

Nice! I'm insulted!

I’ve never boasted to have quorum in, nor claim to, sanity.
Matter of fact, as I mature like wine, I find my self breaking out into uncontrollable fits of giggling at often inopportune times, like this morning on the Blue line el. Equally, if it wasn’t for lust, I’d probably maroon my self on a tropical island with nothing but books, dogs and a computer with internet and beer.

But what offends me, is when some CRETIN prints the name Le Spook in any context as a Red Line Rider! On that nasty train is nothing but Cubs, thugs, spineless males and women with numerous cats.

Awwww...."good hearted nut"...matilda, I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to Spook here!

To comment on the pic of the day....once you're past , umm...say 5 years old, tights as pants are just a fashion don't. The 'cute as a button' look is not good for a grown woman even if she's the size of a pea in a pod.

Uh, OK. (nod my head in vague agreement, like I do when good hearted nuts spill their life stories to me on the Red Line).

Tidalwave Tilda

To non Midwest minds it would be clear as mud (after about a thousand posts) that I’m obsessed with many many thangs, art, beer, fashion, yo momma, literature, , class, gender, zombies, insulting people, hip hop, ribs, diving, etc, etc, etc, equally so perhaps the reason that YOU think I'm only focused mostly on "race and ethnicity" has something to do with you being from the Midwest sticks. The academic term is called "transferal" i.e. because of your lack of exposure, race and class is an intellectual stumbling block for you, so you tight cast me so you can deny that you got problems with race and ethnicity.
So like my man Common said, “You wanna Rover, but I already got range!
But, possibly I might be one of the few folks you know who is not afraid to say howdy, when a 500 pound elephant roller skates backwards into the room wearing spandex tights, a tux jacket, a T-shirt that says "Iron Maiden", and a top hat with a feather in it. Course maybe its only because I think that an elephant dressed like that must know of a cool bar to kick it at!

Now back to fashion if you don't mind

Let the Chicagoist Record state, I dig the "Asian with athletic legs encased in black combined with cool track shoes, that suggests a Enter the Dragon look!"

And while I'm not Asian, I did bring back the " Bruce Lee Game of Death/ Enter the Dragon" Look to my school when I saw both movies for the first time in 8th grade! This was my transition to my break-dance phase, but that’s another story.

This is a fun feature, and seriously, if you expect to be wholly engrossed by everything posted on this website, you may be expecting a bit too much. Get over it. I like her outfit - it works on her - and her hair is fantastic.

Fashion has no rules, and I think Tracy breaks out of the norm to show us something you can do with tights and cotton that people normally wouldn't think of trying. She went bold and it works. Kudos to her.

Why won't this trend die! I always thought forgetting to put your pants usually involved that nightmare where you also have to take an Algebra test you didn't study for.

At least she pulls it off better than most and her shirt covers most of her ass. Still I can't help wondering what would cause an otherwise cute girl like that to wear something so stupid.

"The only thing that saves her is that she is Asian with athletic legs encased in black combined with cool track shoes, that suggests a Enter the Dragon look"

I think out of all the regular Internet characters here, you seem the most obsessed with race and ethnicity. I wonder why.

In defense of "Whatcha Wearin'",
I think its gotten tres better and is a pleasant distraction during the day!

And while I cannot apologize(because it was just too dang funny and clever) for my previous vaseline/ colonized mind insult (back when this column sucked) directed at the "Whatcha Wearin'"writer- that got censored out of my post, I think these posts are strong alternatives to the "does and don’ts" of Vice Magazine, which now kinda sucks since they hired that stupid Midwest idiot (Liz Dumbstrong) who use to scribble about her pathetic social life for the Reader.

Now about Tracy. Maybe her ensemble could work IF the "whole thing" did not look a little, shall we say top heavy? Combined with that huge bag, she seems to be a walking prophecy of a one day fat suburban house wife on her way to a "Bring Back Marshall Fields Protest infront of Macy's.

The only thing that saves her is that she is Asian with athletic legs encased in black combined with cool track shoes, that suggests a Enter the Dragon look

In defense of the feature, I like that it's come to be written without judgement from the point of view of the person featured.

In defense of the tights ... well, I can't defend those tights.

OK most of my wardrobe is black and even I think this is too much black, ribs and patterns notwithstanding. At least get a beige or tan handbag. "Stunning constrast"? Really?

Wait a minute... is Daly doing this section too?
