Man Arrested in Winnetka Drug Bust

75 marijuana plants were found in a Winnetka home on Wednesday when police executed a search warrant on a home in the 300 block of Hawthorn Lane. Police also found “further evidence of the production, use and distribution of [marijuana],” according to a Winnetka Police release.

A 21-year-old man, Mark Elliot Mansheim, who lived at the residence, was arrested in connection with the drug bust, and charged with production of marijuana plants, marijuana possession, and manufacturing of marijuana, all felonies.

Also found in the home: growing stations, including tents equipped with lighting, irrigation and ventilation systems. [Trib]

so?
The law is stupid and God put pot here for us to consume.
Let the dude go.

So, we're going to ruin this kids life because he was growing some harmless plants at his house? He grew a bunch of plants, then we'll put him in jail with a bunch of hardened criminals who will rape him constantly, exposing him to HIV, HEPC, Etc... does anyone else find that this is pretty much a definition of cruel and unusual punishment? We've been spending BILLIONS upon BILLIONS for DECADES, and marijuana is still very easy to get. What an insane place we live in.
