As Karl mentioned, Oberon Season is getting an early start. Meanwhile we're waiting for the folks at Three Floyds to send us our DarkLord Day golden tickets, which we paid for and will not scalp in the parking lot on April 25.
While the beery alchemists of Munster are busy summoning the Beast, head to Map Room tomorrow night for a tasting of selections by North Coast Brewing. The usual suspects will be on hand to taste out: Pranqster, Red Seal, Brother Thelonious. The special guest is a rare tapping of Old Rasputin Barrel Aged Stout, which should be a good primer for when three Floyds is ready to sell the DarkLord.
The tasting runs from 7-9 p.m. Map Room is located at 1949 N. Hoyne.

Weekend Diversion: Night Of The Ponies

If map room can turn down their stereo system to the point to where I can at least scream at my friends and they can hear me; I'll think about going there again.
It is loud in there, isn't it?
The volume there is ridiculous at times. My hypothesis is that they use it as crowd control. Because they're the Map Room. And they can.
I can't take map room any more. The TV's draw too many Lincoln Park meat heads. But
Old Rasputin Barrel is my drink of choice in my local watering hole
