Here's 3 very good receivers Cutler can throw to already:
Desmond Clark
Greg Olsen
Matt Forte

I think it's a good move for the Bears. It will also take heat off of Angelo and Lovie for having a crumbling defense that can't rush the passer or is unable to stop the run.

No, the issue is we don't have one decent WR to throw the ball to. it doesn't matter how good of a QB you have. if you don't have solid guys running the routes, it doesn't mean anything. upgrades at WR will be needed, either via the draft or FA, maybe Marvin.

This organization's track record with 1st round picks is well-documented. As far as I'm concerned those picks can always been bargaining chips in deals like this.

Agreeed... a franchise QB is the hardest piece of the puzzle. Deal with that first and the other needed pieces will be found eventually. Whether through the draft, future free agent signings, trades or improvement of current players the Bears will find wide outs to play with Cutler.

I think seeing that we gave up first rounds picks two years in a row freaks people out because they don't realize that the football draft isn't quite the same as a basketball draft. There are plenty of good players with potential in some of the later rounds, more positions so more possible good picks outside of the top group, etc. I'm pumped that we got Cutler.

A good number of people have been surprisingly negative. I can't believe anyone would think we got a bad deal. Those two first round picks? David Terrell, Cade McNown, and Cedric Benson were all first-rounders. Who is he going to throw the ball to? Who cares?!? We shouldn't go for a franchise QB because we don't already have an elite WR corps? I swear to god, if we instead went back in time and got 22 year old Jerry Rice to play for the Bears, people would be whining "well, who is going to throw it to him?" I guess the only way to please some fans is getting a franchise QB and a Hall of Fame receiver at exactly the same time.

The only thing that worries me about trading Orton in the deal is that we are back to a starter supported by two grossly (heh) inexperienced back-up QBs. Hanie better get a nice number of snaps in pre-season games.

I love that this McDaniels guy tried to play Bill Belichek and ended up getting fucked over and most likely hated by the entire city of Denver. Douchebag

It's distinctly probable Cutler is the bets QB in Bear franchise history already.
