actually it does, the #1 hitter can bat up to 100 times more throughout one season than the #9 hitter.

The leadoff hitter only leads off the game once! After that, it doesn't make any difference, especially in the AL.

JO should never be mentioned as a lead off canidate ever again. i personally think Getz is the right choice, even if he is a rookie. i just hope they don't put Alexei up there, i think he can be much more productive at the bottom of the line-up.

Same as last year, we will be last in the league when runners are in scoring position, if anybody could even get on this year.

Raises some good points. Personally, I think a platoon of Wise/Brian Anderson is the way to go. Don't have them lead off though, bat them in the #9 spot. Chris Getz should be our leadoff hitter... and according to Sun-Times beat reporter Joe Cowley's twitter, that's exactly what Ozzie's doing for today's game.
