It's a holiday weekend, so we knew it was going to be a slow weekend. Still, it's hard to be cranky about anything when looking at Bo, the Obama's new six-month old Portuguese water dog, a gift from Sen. Ted Kennedy (a Democratic U.S. Senator from Massachusetts).
We'd like to formally invite Bo - upon his next visit to the Obama's home town of Chicago - to take part in a play date with the dogs of Chicagoist. As long as he's got his license, that is.

aw, so cute. hi, bobama!
So they finally found a way to get another Kennedy in the White House, I see.
Yuck.
To those of you who support fiscal restraint, please come to the protest rally for the Nationwide Tea Party, to be held this Wednesday, April 15th at 12:00 Noon at Federal Plaza. This is at Dearborn and Adams.
If you think that spending a few trillion dollars will hurt the economy rather than help it, please attend this rally, and bring a homemade sign if you can. See you there!
Make sure you brings some books and crosses to burn.
will there be teabagging?
Yeah really Ward Up, because any criticism whatsoever of Obama or the Democratic party automatically means you are racist.
To show you are inclusive, you should be like the plethora of Chicagoist posters who live in white neighborhoods, drink in white bars, grew up in white suburbs, work in white offices, but voted for Obama and traveled in a foreign continent for 3-18 months using money from their white privilege upbringing, both of which prove how racially tolerant they are.
Is there a black or hispanic blogger on the Chicagoist staff yet? The bios on the site don't show any with pictures.
I thought this post was about a puppy?
Actually, yes, and we're working on hiring more. The staff page is admittedly out of date. But as JDole just pointed out, that has nothing to do with the Obama's puppy.
See you on Wednesday!
Sorry Sears,
I did *not* vote for Obama, think the bailouts are being handled poorly and live in a mostly black/brown neighborhood, not that it would discredit my opinion otherwise or is relevant. These teabaggers are a bunch of libertarian/constitution party freaks and bigots who did not give a damn or do anything while Bush spent more and expanded government more than any President in history: Medicare Modernization Act (which is not even fiscally possible), DHS, Two wars and trillions kept off the books, Literal *pallets* of cash given to contracters and unaccounted for.
But he was a White President who thought Christian God spoke to him.....
Hypocrites.
Here's a Glenn Beck Tea Party in action, get your kids out of school and burn the books!
